Eastworks is a great place to work, and it's situated in a wonderful area in which to live. You really ought to come visit sometime.
Eastworks sits by a river, at the base of Mount Tom in the Berkshire Mountains of Western Massachusetts. From nearly every window in the building there are views of either the river and mountains, or the fields around Eastworks' home town of Easthampton. While we are the home to industry, we are by no means an "industrial park." Along with the rural setting, we take great pride in our building's beauty. It was built with pride, and this shows in the details.
The Easthampton Neighborhood
The May/June 1997 issue of Utne Reader wrote that this region is one of the most "innovative, culturally advanced ... all across the continent," and they're right.
Besides the stunning natural surroundings that attract tourists from all over the world, the Pioneer Valley is a surprisingly cosmopolitan area. Home to five prestigious colleges and universities, the area glows with excitement often found only in metropolises. World-renowned musicians and artists regularly make appearances in the many local theaters and museums. The restaurants, bookstores, and shopping are all excellent and varied.
