In addition to provisions for a wide variety of businesses, Eastworks offers spacious live/work loft apartments on the fourth floor
for artists and others who wish to take full advantage of the building's unique opportunities and setting. There are 47 live/work loft apartments located
within Eastworks.
Our location in the town of Easthampton gives us a quiet, working community enhanced by wonderful views but also places us in the larger
"Five College Area" of the Pioneer Valley. With the justifiably renowned restaurants and shopping of Northampton and Amherst, as well as world class
music and arts events of every kind, it is a truly
exciting environment. Only minutes away, Interstate 91 and the Massachusetts Turnpike, afford easy access to Boston, Vermont, Hartford and New York City.

4th Floor History

The Defense Plant Corporation, a manufacturer of weapons and war supplies, operated on site in the 1940s in this building. The top floor used to have Jeeps in storage.
Before the apartments were constructed, the words "No Jeeps beyond this point" were painted on the load bearing floors. Today you can still see the "Buy Bonds" effort painted on
the floor to the laundry facility.
