The Building
These pictures all have to do with construction that has taken place around the building. Below each picture is a small caption of what was happening at the time of construction. If you have pictures you would like to contribute to this page please e-mail them to: info@eastworks.com.

One of the three capped water mains coming into the Eastworks building. These water mains have started to break and leak into the building. The new water main (pictured above) is replacing these antiquated water supplies. The cutting and capping of the old water mains was performed by Harris & Gray Excavating and MJ Moran, Inc. This is a picture of an antiquated water main in the building leaking. Under the wheel is a huge puddle of water.

The new water main coming out of the sub-basement and into the regular basement of the Eastworks building. It is made of 4" copper and will supply all the domestic water to the building.

This is the donut piece that was removed from a 10" water main that supplies water to the Eastworks building. This work was what is called a "hot tap" or "live tap" meaning the water was not shut down when they drilled into the pipe. Work was done by Prescott and MJ Moran, Inc.

Another shot of the steel water main donut piece.

This is a back shot of the valve that was supplied during the live tap for our new water main.

Same valve for the new water supply but this picture is the front of it.

This is the current water main with backflow devices installed. Work on this project is ongoing.

All pictures taken by Jennifer Bemben, the Eastworks Building Maintenance Supervisor, on April 13, 2007.
